Your 14-day Pro trial

Every new Guardr account starts on Pro for 14 days. No credit card is required to start it and none is required to keep exploring - the trial begins automatically the first time you sign in to the dashboard.

1 - How the trial works

For 14 days your account has full Pro-tier limits:

The trial clock starts the first time you open the dashboard, not from adding your first site. You can add, scan and monitor sites the same way a paying Pro account would for the full 14 days.

No card on file: starting or continuing the trial never asks for payment details. Upgrading to keep Pro after the trial ends does, through the checkout on the Billing page.

2 - What happens on day 14

When the trial ends, your account settles onto the Free plan. This is a downgrade in limits, not a loss of data - nothing is deleted.

If you added only one site during the trial, nothing else changes - it continues on the Free plan's schedule. If you added more than one site, the site you most recently added stays active on the Free plan and every other site pauses.

You will also get an email at the moment this happens, naming which of your sites stayed active and which paused, so there is no need to check the dashboard to find out.

3 - Paused sites

A paused site is not deleted and is not hidden. It stays on your dashboard, shown greyed out with a Paused badge. Its own detail page still shows every scan and uptime record collected during the trial.

What pausing actually stops is monitoring: a paused site is excluded from scheduled security scans, uptime checks and your active site count. It does not count against a plan's site limit while paused.

4 - Resuming after upgrade

Upgrading to any paid plan resumes monitoring on your paused sites automatically - there is no separate restore step to run per site. Sites come back up to your new plan's site limit, starting with the most recently added.

If your new plan's site limit is smaller than the number of paused sites you have, the remainder stay paused rather than resuming over the limit. Add capacity with a higher plan or remove sites you no longer need to bring the rest back.

5 - Trial emails

Guardr sends a small number of emails over the course of the trial: an early check-in, a value summary partway through that names anything the trial has caught, the day 14 downgrade notice above and a single re-engagement email afterward if your account is still on Free. If an incident is caught during your trial, for example a period of downtime, you get one additional email about it - at most once per trial.

These are marketing-class emails and can be turned off independently of your weekly summary email, using the unsubscribe link included in each one.
